Mini-vacation to Destin

Mommy has been working so hard during tax season that we decided to get away for a weekend and relax. So we packed our bags last minute and headed over to the Hilton in Sandestin. The hotel room was perfect for us. Here are some of the views from our balcony...

There was an alcove with bunk beds that Caden's pack'n'play fit perfectly in. There was no door, so I ducktaped a blanket to make a door so that he wouldn't see us right away when he woke up...you have to get clever with an almost 11 month old...
Notice the crib soother (Caden's light show) attached to the pack'n'play. Now we can't go anywhere without it. Caden knows to hit the bird to make the lights and the music start, so he does it every night before he goes to sleep and every morning when he wakes up! Hey, whatever works...
Now that he is army crawling ALL over the place (and he's getting faster every day!), we had to take a quilt for him to crawl around on...although he was always on the carpet if we turned our heads for a second.
Uncle Todd, Aunt Carly, Cousins Brody and Wade, and Grammy and Pops came over on Saturday to see us. The outdoor pool water was still a little chilly, but the indoor water was juuuuustttt riiiigghhhtttt...This was Caden's second time in a pool (1st was last 4th of July) and he didn't know what to make of it at first...

Once he got used to it, he started kicking all around and turning himself in circles in his "car" float. I guess he kicked so much that he wore himself out...

Grammy and Pops took Caden home with them on Saturday night to spend the night so that Scott and I could have a baby-free night and go out! Grammy and Pops said that he was so good for them. He even slept 12 hours! Thanks Grammy and Pops!
It was a perfect mini-vacation...2 1/2 hours from the house and a room big enough for the three of us (Riley could have fit too, but we would have had to sneak him in...).
And one last picture that I didn't post from St. Patrick's Day...Kiss me I'm cute!
Scott and I are loving every minute of being parents. Caden makes us laugh every day with his funny faces that he makes, his army crawl or as we like to call it "the worm",and now he clearly says "a - dah, a-dah" and repeats it when you start to say it. His little personality is definitely showing through more and more each day. He is a very good baby and hardly ever cries unless he is just frustrated that he can't do something or that the stroller has stopped moving!
