Fun-filled Weekend

We've had a fun-filled weekend here at the Harrell household. Caden is still as crazy as ever, jumping on couches, running down the hallways, and is just everywhere!
Friday night, we took Caden for his first hibachi experience...he loved it! He was a little afraid of the the fire volcano that they did in the beginning, but other than that he couldn't keep his eyes off of the chef and was clapping his hands the whole time! No pictures of that though...forgot the camera at home.
Saturday started out like any other day...you know, who doesn't like to put buckets on their head and walk around?!?!Then we went for a playdate/picnic with half of the Koegel family (Taylor was with her grandparents at the Clemson/BC game and Robbie was in PSL visiting his mother). So, it was just Kim, Alex, Caden and I. We headed over to Tom Brown park. Caden had never been there before and he was loving it. They have an area under an awning for the little kids and even have a mister for when you get hot!
Here he is just a swingin...

He loved this bumpy slide and was even trying to climb up it when he got done...

Alex's turn! She was too cute trying to hold his hand and make him go where she wanted him to...good luck, Alex! I can't get him to do what I want him to do yet either...
(I think Kim was trying to tell Caden to get out of the way because he was trying to climb back up the slide).

We watched the Seminoles kick butt on Saturday night against BYU! And then Sunday spent most of the day around the house. Caden made it a little interesting though and invented a new "ride" in our house...
He turns his leapfrog learning table over, gets in the middle of it and rocks it back and forth. It kept reminding me of the fun houses they have at the fair...Caden made his own. Crazy boy!

The Winner...in the Couch Olympics that is!

Caden has found a new sport he likes...the couch olympics! This is NOT a favorite sport of mommy's and I try to discourage it, but he is sneaky...He hoists his little leg up there and pulls his little body up on the couch, then stands up and starts jumping up and down. The jumping up and down looks more like he is head banging, then jumping though. Then he will get off by swinging his leg over the arm and backing down. He does that over and over. He gets so tickled and proud of himself. I hope to get it on video soon, but I did manage to get a few pictures...

If anyone knows our dog, Riley, they know that Riley's favorite place in the world is under our bed. Well, Caden loves Riley and has now figured out where Riley's hangout is and I found him the other day looking under the bed trying to see if Riley would come and play...
One day he'll learn that it takes a treat to get him out from under the bed...
We're still playing peek a boo all of the time. While mommy is trying to work at the dining room table...he hid behind the treadmill...

Then under daddy's hat...one of his favorite hiding places...

Daddy introduced us to another fun game! Horseback rides or really daddy-back rides...(bad thing is that now he tries to jump on everyone's backs when they are squatting...)

Still loves the plastic bags (and yes, we do monitor him closely when he has them - I think he just likes the crinkly sound they make)
It looks like Catherine Zeta-Jones is sitting right next to him...
Loves to sit on the fireplace like a big boy. Again, he gets rather proud of himself...
Grammy and Pops came over last weekend to babysit Caden while mommy and daddy went to the Miami-FSU game (spare the FSU harrassment comments). Thanks Grammy and Pops! We are so lucky that Scott's parents live 2 hours away and that they like hanging out with the Caden baby! Here's Pops reading to Caden. He just sat there and listened and for some reason kept turing to the page with the goats (it's a barn animal book)...

Pops is so great that he even put up Caden's swing for him finally! (I say finally because it has been sitting in the garage since his birthday...) He loves it! Loves it so much that he hates to get out.

And for those of you who are thinking that he looks big for his age...HE IS! Everyone asks me if he is two or three...when I have to tell them 16 months, they are shocked. Even had one guy ask to be his agent...we have a big, tall boy on her hands! That's it for now. As you can see, Caden is definitely keeping us on our toes and entertains us everyday.
