Had to post again because this picture cracked me up

Well...I said that we hadn't taken any pictures lately, but then I turned on my camera tonight and this was what I saw...
Scott gave Caden a bath last week and "styled" his hair with the towel and said that I had to get a picture of it...
And the reason I got my camera out tonight was to take a picture of Caden digging in his bib...he figured this out a few weeks ago - there is more food in his bib! He was only digging though tonight because he was eating his favorite - sweet potatoes. He wanted nothing to do with the hamburger patty, but got excited to find some more sweet potatoes in his bib...

That's all for now...I just really had to post the first picture...It made my Monday.

Video - Caden Reading

He stopped as soon as he saw the camera, but I got a little on tape anyways...he gets a little bit of camera shock.

Not a whole lot of other excitement here this weekend, so no pictures. Although, I should have taken a picture of when he pulled his diaper off and peeed on the floor, but I guess I was too busy laughing...

Other new things - he's become a VERY picky eater and will almost eat nothing at lunch and dinner if there isn't anything on his tray he likes, which we give him 4 or 5 choices now. We did some yardwork on Saturday and I thought it would be nice to set up his baby pool and he could hang out in that while we worked...Caden had other plans. Apparently, he HATES baby pools, but loves regular pools. Go figure...His little personality/temper is showing more and more everyday. The personality part is great. He laughs at a lot of things, loves to run to people when they are squatting down to give them a hug, gives high fives, and loves to line up his toys...that's where his little temper comes into play, because if he can't get a toy to stand up the way he wants it, he gets very upset. I just can't believe what a little boy he is now! It seems like he just learned to crawl the other day...He continues to amaze us every day. We are so fortunate to have him in our lives.

Family Weekend

This past weekend, we headed over to Destin by way of Panama City for cousins Brody and Wade's first birthday party! Here are the birthday boys in their new rocking chairs...

Discovering their presents in the foyer...
We put Caden in the bounce house in the backyard...He wasn't too thrilled at first and I was afraid that I was going to have to figure out how to crawl in there to get him out...

But then Cambell got in and he thought she was hilarious jumping up and down...Note his preppy pirate shirt for Brody and Wade's pirate party...I know most of you are shaking your head thinking well of course Allison would be the one to find a preppy pirate shirt if they existed...

Here's Brody and Wade with their cake. Wade tried to throw it down and Brody started crying since everyone was staring at them...I'm sure Aunt Carly will enjoy telling them the story when they get older...

Cousins...Caden is trying to escape the wagon...
We're going through a phase right now...a snuggly cuddly, don't even think about leaving me when I want to snuggle phase...
We don't mind this phase very much, except when we try to put him down and the whiny part of the phase starts...Some other things we are doing now - walking very well now and sometimes getting up to a "run", show him how to do something once and he'll repeat it, lets us know when he doesn't like a food (believe it or not, he's not into goldfish!), screams in excitement, screams when's he mad...and boy, has he started to show us his temper when he gets frustrated! He also was quite proud of himself this past weekend at Grammy and Pops when he figured out how to open the door to their hall closet...they have lever knobs, which we do not thank goodness...

He must have opened and shut this door 100 times with the biggest smile on his face...

Tonight, Daddy was running on the treadmill and Caden wanted to get on there with him soooo badly. So, I took him in his room to play. When Daddy was done, we came out and he went straight over to the treadmill and climbed up there and started stomping his feet like he was running in place...AWWWWW, he's so smart!

One last thing...all of his one year pictures are up...go to www.longsphotography.com and click on proofs. The password is Harrell.

Busy Summer...

Sorry for the lack of updates, but we have been out of town every weekend since and will be out of town again this weekend for cousin Brody and Wade's 1 year old birthday party! I've gotten so used to packing all 3 of us, that I can do it in about 15 minutes flat!
The weekend before last, Aunt Jen, Uncle Albert, Nana, and cousins Kaley and Andrew came up to pick Andrew up from baseball camp. So after his camp was over, we headed over to Destin! We got a great 3 bedroom condo - just big enough for all of us. Daddy was in Chicago visiting his friend (to give daddy credit, he planned his trip before we planned ours...), so Caden and I had the master suite to ourselves. Caden slept in the bathroom (I could have fit two more pack n plays in this bathroom)!
Here Caden is getting a bath...Kaley decided to jump in and "help"...

He loves when he can open and shut cabinets...it's almost better than peek-a-boo. Here's an action shot of him throwing his bouncey ball into the cabinet (love my camera...by the way, I've taken over a 1000 pictures in a little over 3 months).
The weather was terrible both days we were in Destin, but then turned beautiful the Monday we left. We did get one day in the pool...Uncle Albert took this picture with Mommy's camera. Aunt Jen took some pictures with her camera too, but we are still waiting on them.
And yes, Kaley and I are both standing up. The deepest part of the pool was 4 feet. Caden could walk around in most of it - which he was loving, except for the parts when he got off balance and went under...
Some friend of ours from Port St. Lucie live near Destin, so they came over to visit. Here is Kaley with Emma. Caden loved Emma's daddy, Lenny. He was in my arms and when Lenny first came up to him, he went to Lenny and put his head down on his shoulders and wouldn't come back to me! Everyone says they've never seen a baby that likes to snuggle as much as Caden does...I don't mind...
Caden with Uncle Albert...
View from our balcony...
Last weekend, Mommy and Daddy went to the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce retreat in Amelia Island...so, we dropped Caden off on the way at Great Grandmother's house in Maclenney right outside of Jacksonville with Grammy, Pops, Aunt Carly, Uncle Todd, and cousins Brody and Wade. Caden LOVES to open and shut doors, so how great that he could shut the dog's crate on Brody!
Hanging out in Grandmother's driveway checking everything out...
All dressed in their new monogrammed scrubs from Grammy!

Poor Caden was not only in a new place, but also didn't have mommy and daddy that weekend, so he was glued to Grammy...He's going through another separation anxiety phase and especially when it comes to Daddy! He is such a Daddy's boy at the current moment.
Three little boys all ready and waiting for dinner!

Great Grandmother with 3 of her 4 great grandchildren! Caden is in Grandmother's rocking chair from when she was a little girl...doesn't he look like a 2 year old?!? At his 15 month old check up, he is still holding strong in the 97th percentile for height, but has dropped a little in weight and head circumference.

Now, here's a few cute pics. Another one of Caden's favorite things to do now is to walk around with plastic bags on his feet. I don't see the attraction, but it cracks him up...

He also loves to put his drum top over his face because it's clear and he can see through it. He's quick and I couldn't seem to catch it actually on his face, but this is how funny he thinks it is...

Funny face...
